Tears for Our New President

White People and Black cried tears of joy tonight on the election of Barack Obama as our new President. That joy is focused not only on his victory or the fact that he is Black, but the courage Americans has shown to themselves and the world. Mr. Obama repeatedly told us, “We are not a nation of “red” states and “blue” states, but a nation of Americans.” We cry tears because we know he is right. Tonight, this country has come a long way.
